English Mastiff (German Shepherd Mix)

A coworker of mine recently adopted an English Mastiff German Shepherd Mix puppy and let me tell you that this is the biggest four month old puppy I have ever seen. She is gorgeous and so adorable. A little background about Mastiffs – they grow so fast and get quite big (the size of a pony) but behind their massive exterior lies a peaceful dog. They are not fighting dogs (thank god) but if they see danger they will use their size to protect their owners. I was reading about the English Mastiff breed and here are the pros and cons.

Pros:
Adorable (just look at that face)
Calm demeanor
Affectionate and loyal
Very patient and gentle with kids
Very quiet (not a yappy dog)
Not aggressive towards other dogs
Perfect watch dog

Cons:
Big Eater
Drooling (some or a lot)
Requires a big space
Snores big time
Passes gas
Bad breath
Short life span (about 6 to 8 years)
Expensive to buy

Look at those paws! (Pretty crazy right) Gigantic paws from a cute, adorable puppy named Miley. So if you ever decide to get a dog make sure you do your homework about the breed and make sure you can provide for that dog. If you can, please adopt rather than buy.
